One day I found myself saying like Peter those very same words. I was processing apostating the faith for a little while so I could enjoy the pleasures of sin; but, when it came down to it I knew like Solomon that it would bring no satisfaction it was just chasing after the wind, vanity of vanities (Ecclesiastes). I also was under the false notation that a "Christian", after "accepting" Jesus could live in sin, die in sin and still go to heaven.
I pray this would be true of you if it isn't examine yourself, what sin is better than Christ.
